The hoteloffers 59 guest rooms in the Abbey building, including 27 suites, 4 rooms in the Pavillon d'Honneur (which must be booked in its entirety), 2 rooms in le Pavillon des Sources the pavilion must be booked in its entirety), 47 rooms in the Haras building, 38 rooms in the la Ferme building, including 5 rooms in le Cottage.
What time is check-in? Can I request an early check-in? What is the charge ?
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. Early check-in may be requested, subject to hotel availability.
What time is check-out? Can I request a late check-out? What is the charge?
From Monday to Saturday, check-out is before 12pm. It is possible to request a late check-out, subject to hotel availability, at an additional cost.
What payment methods are accepted?
The accepted payment methods are Visa, Amex, Mastercard and cash.
Do I need to pay a deposit to make a reservation?
For a flexible reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total booking will be charged. In the case of a reservation at the non-refundable rate, 100% of the total booking will be charged.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the case of a reservation at a flexible rate, you can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the arrival date.
Can I stay at the Abbaye for just one night on Friday or Saturday?
To fully enjoy the estate and its activities, a minimum stay of two nights is often required for weekend stays.

Can we visit the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay without staying overnight? Can we come just for brunch? Is the spa open for day use?
Yes, it is possible to enjoy the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay without staying at the hotel. Non-residents can access certain experiences on the estate by reservation, including the restaurants, weekend brunch, the spa, and certain seasonal activities.
Located just 45 minutes from Paris, the Abbey is also an ideal destination for a day in the countryside, a romantic lunch, a wellness retreat, or a family getaway. We recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and during school holidays.

By train from Paris, there are two options: the SNCF line departing from Gare Montparnasse toward Gare de Rambouillet, or the RER B line toward Gare de Saint-Rémy-Lès-Chevreuse. We offer transfers from your arrival station; simply contact us in advance to book this service.
By plane, both Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports are about a 1- to 1.5-hour drive away. We can arrange a chauffeur-driven transfer from the airport. Please contact the front desk to schedule it.

How far is it from the Domaine de l'Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay to la Ferme l'Abbaye?
The distance between the two entrances is 1 km, which is a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk.
How far is the hotel from the airport?
The Abbey is located 76 km from Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport, a 90-minute drive away, and 41 km from Paris Orly Airport, a 50-minute drive away. Please contact our team to book a transfer.
Do you offer a shuttle service to the airport or train station?
Yes, the hotel offers a private transfer from the airport or the train station where you arrive (Rambouillet or Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuses).
Is the hotel accessible for people with disabilities? Do you have specially adapted rooms ? Do you have a lift ?
Yes, the hotel is accessible to people with reduced mobility and has an elevator. The hotel's "Particulières" are also suitable for disabled guests. Please note, however, that access to the Les Haras rooms is by staircase only.

Yes, the hotel offers room service 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as turndown service for guests staying in the main complex, which includes the Abbaye and Haras buildings. Rooms at la Ferme offer turndown service.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?
In order to preserve the authenticity and listed status of the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, our rooms do not have air conditioning. This decision is part of our commitment to preserving the historical integrity of this unique site. The amenities included in my room are: coffee maker, hair dryer, kettle, minibar, television, telephone, complimentary toiletries, and a safe (safes are not available in the la Ferme rooms).

Is it possible to tour the estate?
As a guest who has booked a stay at the hotel, we offer two guided tour sessions available exclusively on Saturdays at 5:00 PM in French and at 5:45 PM in English. Guests with a reservation at one of our four restaurants can enjoy access to the resort’s activities all day long, both on weekdays and weekends.

Yes, the fitness center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is available to guests staying at the hotel. Use of the fitness center is included in the room rate.

Does the hotel have a pool? Is the pool heated?
Yes, the hotel has an outdoor pool that is heated year-round, open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and until 8:00 PM on weekends.
Is the pool open to the general public?
To ensure that the facilities are available, the outdoor pool is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
Restaurants and Bars
What restaurants are on the estate? Is there a dress code?
The hotel has 4 restaurants and 2 bars, and guests are asked to dress appropriately.
What type of breakfast is available? What time is it served? Can I have breakfast in my room?
A lightcontinental and American breakfast is served daily as a buffet in the Monks’ Refectory from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends, as well as at La Trattoria 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM on weekends, featuring local and seasonal products. Breakfast can be served in your room in the Abbey building for an additional service fee.
Can I make a reservation at one of the restaurants on the estate if I'm not staying at the hotel?
Yes, some restaurants are open to walk-in customers, particularly Restaurant Les Chasses lunch on weekdays. Access to the estate and the restaurants is by reservation only.
Does the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay serve brunch?

Brunch, a truly signature experience, takes place every Saturday and Sunday, as well as on bank holidays, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM in the legendary Monks’ Refectory, with its “so Harry Potter vibes,” at a price of €145 per adult and €70 per child up to 12 years old (free for children under 3). Brunch is also available to non-hotel guests, by reservation only. What room categories are suitable for families with children?
The Family rooms are ideal for a couple and one child. These consist of two separate areas with a double bed and a single bed.
What are the age restrictions for children?
Children are welcome at the Abbaye estate and are considered children up to age 12 for room reservations. An extra bed can be added for a child aged 3 to 12, for an additional fee, or a travel crib or crib with bars can be provided for a child aged 0 to 3, at no extra charge, subject to availability.
Do the restaurants at the Abbey have children's menus?
The restaurants at the Abbey, l'Auberge and at La Ferme, La Trattoria offer child-friendly dishes and menus, with the exception of les Chasses, a restaurant known for its high-end cuisine and service, which is not recommended for dining with children.
Is access to the Kids Club included?
Access to the Tartine et Chocolat Kids Club is included in the stay for children ages 3 to 12 when accompanied by an adult. Supervised childcare is available through the hotel for an additional fee.

Yes, private, secure, and free parking (included in your reservation) is available on-site. Ten electric charging stations are also available. Valet parking is available for reservations with check-in at the main estate, which consists of the Abbaye and Haras buildings.
